Conversations with Pastor Djard

Pastor Djard

I work several days a week in the church office, in fact in Pastor Djard's office (he says officey. It's really cute.) He is the sweetest, most soft spoken person you will ever meet. He's always got praise music going and he's very quick to laugh, but honestly, it's a lot like a giggle. And I love it. So yesterday he walked in and this is the conversation we had. 

Pastor Djard: Yesterday I went to the cinema. 

Me: Really? What did you see. 

Pastor Djard: (looks to the side to think a minute) I don't know the name in English but "Velocidade Furioso" (off my quizzical look) It had Vin Diesel. 

Me: Oh!! Fast Five! Really? you saw it? 

Pastor Djard: Yeeeeessss!

Me(incredulously): Did you like it?

Pastor Djard: Yeeeeesss. It was very good. And you know? ......  Some of the actors had very good Brazilian accents. 

Me: Wait, Brazilian accents? 

Pastor Djard: Yes they go to Hio (Rio - brazilians pronounce r's as h's)

Me: Oh I didn't realize.

Pastor Djard: Yes, but they had some mexican actors (shakes his head) with Brasil shirts on. (Laughs)

Me: Oh pretending to be Brazilian. 

Pastor Djard: Yess! Pretending.  yes but it was very good. the car persecution! (moves his hands to indicate a car chase or "pursuit") Woah. They destroy a lot of cars. 

Me (nodding enthusiastically): Well. Yeah they do that, don't they? 

Pastor Djard: Especially! Cop cars. 

Me: Wow, Pastor, I would not have guessed you would like that movie. 

Pastor Djard: Oh yess! The whole family go together. 

Me: Awesome.
